Project Overview:

Kabaila is a seafood restaurant based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, created to celebrate the rich flavors of the sea through an elevated yet approachable dining experience. With a menu that honors both traditional Saudi seafood dishes and modern coastal cuisine.Blue Media was tasked with crafting a brand experience that resonates deeply with seafood lovers in the Kingdom.From visual identity to digital storytelling, every detail was designed to evoke the freshness of the ocean.

Strategy and execution :

  • 1. Positioning with Purpose:
We introduced Kabaila as “the coast on your table” a restaurant
    that delivers seafood freshness with Riyadhi warmth. The positioning
    was, crafted to shift seafood from an occasional splurge to a regular craving.

    2. Coastal-Modern Visual Direction:
 Photography and grid layouts were styled to echo a coastal escape,sunlight tones, blue hues, and textures inspired by nets, wood, and waves. Dishes were styled minimally to highlight their freshness, without distractions, letting the food speak.

    3. Influencer Activation:
 We executed a carefully timed influencer campaign featuring food reviewers, lifestyle creators, and niche seafood lovers—all sharing real reactions, favorite bites, and full-dish walkthroughs

    4. Dish Drops & Highlights:
 Every new dish was treated like a limited-edition launch. Custom reels, teaser stories, and countdowns built anticipation, while offer-driven content like
    “Seafood Combos for Two” and “Midweek Grills” gave reasons to visit more
    than once a week.

    5. Kitchen & Culture Content:
 Short, raw, and real videos from the kitchen showed fish grilling, sauces pouring, and fresh shrimp sizzling,building transparency and mouthwatering appeal. We connected the process to tradition by showing local prep methods and signature flavors.

Challenges:

  • Inland Location, Coastal Cuisine:
 Bringing an authentic seafood experience to a city far from the sea meant overcoming perceptions about freshness and quality.

 In a region where grilled meats and rice dishes dominate, introducing seafood as a centerpiece required rethinking how local diners see their main meal.
