The History of Marketing

There is no doubt that marketing has become one of the strongest and most widespread fields in the recent period.
But let us know at first what is marketing?
Marketing is how you can encourage people to buy your product, meeting customer's needs and convince them that your brand is the best and help them to buy it.
Marketing didn't become one of the most important fields suddenly! But it went through some steps of development that we will talk about it now.

The era of simple trade:
In the early nineteenth century, there was no need for marketing because manufacturing was as much as needed, i.e., if one needed a dress, she would have customize it for herself or get a tailor to make it especially for her. Thus, there was no surplus for marketing and there was no need between consumers because their manufacturing covered their needs. With the onset of the Industrial Revolution, manufacturers became more companies than consumers, and thus began exchanging.

The era of sales marketing:
This type of marketing has emerged as a result of increased production rates, and supply has become more than demand rates, so they began to expand the scope of sales to become globally instead of locally

Modern marketing era:
Technological development has led to the emergence of new products which became more demanded than the ones that have spread earlier, and thus companies began to depend on the production of what can be sold, or produce the product required by the consumer.
This era is one of the most balanced eras, and ads that vary in form and content depending on the nature of each product started to appear

Digital Marketing:
The latest development step is (digital marketing)
This kind is fully dependent on internet marketing and unlike all the stages we have explained, it allows the product to reach anywhere and anyone easily and quickly
Social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram started to be used. And despite the difference in the form, content and tools of promotion in each platform, they all pursue the same goal of promoting the product more and achieving higher sales
